Text and translation

English translation

4408. It was narrated that Junādah bin Abī Umayyah said: "We were with Busr bin Arṭāh at sea, and a thief called Miṣḍar was brought, having stolen a long necked she-camel. He said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say: "Hands are not to be cut off when traveling." Were it not for that, I would have cut off his hand.'" (Saḥih)
