English translation

4412. It was narrated that Abū Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'If a slave steals then sell him, even if it is for half an Uqiyah.'" (Hasan)

Arabic text

4412 - حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا سَرَقَ الْمَمْلُوكُ فَبِعْهُ وَلَوْ بِنَشٍّ»
