English translation

4430. It was narrated from Jābir bin 'Abdullāh that a man from Aslam came to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and confessed to Zinā, but he turned away from him. Then he confessed and he turned away from him, until he had testified against himself four times. Then the Prophet ﷺ said to him: "Are you insane?" He said: "No." He said: "Have you been married?" He said: "Yes." So the Prophet ﷺ ordered that he be stoned in the prayer-place. When the stones hurt him he fled, but they caught up with him, and he was stoned until he died. The Prophet ﷺ spoke well of him but he did not offer the funeral prayer for him. (Sahih)
