English translation
450. Uthmān bin Abī Al-ʿĀṣ, may Allāh be pleased with him, reported that the Prophet ﷺ commanded him to build the Masjid of Aṭ-Ṭāʿif where their idols used to stand. (Ḍāʿif)

450 - حَدَّثَنَا رَجَاءُ بْنُ الْمُرَجَّى، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هَمَّامٍ الدَّلَّالُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَبَّبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَجْعَلَ مَسْجِدَ الطَّائِفِ حَيْثُ كَانَ طَوَاغِيتُهُمْ»
