English translation

4617. It was narrated from Hammād who said: “Humaid informed me, he said: ‘Al-Hasan used to say that falling from heaven to earth was dearer to him than saying: “Matters are in my hand.”’) (Sahīh)

Arabic text

4617 - حَدَّثَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي حُمَيْدٌ، كَانَ الْحَسَنُ يَقُولُ: " لَأَنْ يُسْقَطَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَنْ يَقُولَ: الْأَمْرُ بِيَدِي "
