Text and translation

English translation

4655. It was narrated that Al-Miswar bin Makhramah said: "The Prophet ﷺ went out at the time of Al-Hudaybiyah..." and he mentioned the Hadīth. He said: "And he came to him," meaning 'Urwah bin Mas'ūd, "and started to speak to the Prophet ﷺ. Every time he spoke to him he took hold of his beard. Al-Mughīrah bin Shu'bah was standing at the Prophet's head, carrying a sword and wearing a helmet. He struck his hand with the handle of his sword and said: 'Keep your hand away from his beard.' 'Urwah raised his head and said: 'Who is this?' They said: 'Al-Mughīrah bin Shu'bah.'" (Hasan)
