4777. It was narrated from Abū Marhūm, from Sahl bin Mu'ādḥ, from his father, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Whoever suppresses his anger when he is able to act upon it, Allāh will call him before all of creation on the Day of Resurrection, and will let him choose whichever of the Hur Al-Īn he wants." (Hasan) Abū Dāwūd said: Abū Marhūm's name is 'Abdur-Raḥmān bin Maimūn.
4777 - حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ السَّرْحِ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي مَرْحُومٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ كَظَمَ غَيْظًا وَهُوَ قَادِرٌ عَلَى أَنْ يُنْفِذَهُ، دَعَاهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَى رُءُوسِ الْخَلَائِقِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يُخَيِّرَهُ اللَّهُ مِنَ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ مَا شَاءَ» قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ: " اسْمُ أَبِي مَرْحُومٍ: عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ "
