English translation

4793. It was narrated from Mujāhid, from 'Āishah, with this narration. She said: "He, meaning, the Prophet ﷺ, said: 'O 'Āishah, among the worst of people are those to whom respect is shown because of their tongues.'" (Da'if)

Arabic text

4793 - حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّاسٌ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ فِي هَذِهِ الْقِصَّةِ، قَالَتْ: فَقَالَ تَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَا عَائِشَةُ، إِنَّ مِنْ شِرَارِ النَّاسِ الَّذِينَ يُكْرَمُونَ اتِّقَاءَ أَلْسِنَتِهِمْ»
