Text and translation

English translation

4801. It was narrated that Hārīthah bin Wahb said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'No one who is coarse (Jawwāz) or conceited will enter Paradise.'" He said: "Al-Jawwāz means coarse speech." (Saḥīḥ)

Arabic text

4801 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَعُثْمَانُ ابْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ الْجَوَّاظُ وَلَا الْجَعْظَرِيُّ» قَالَ: " وَالْجَوَّاظُ: الْغَلِيظُ الْفَظُّ "

Meaning proud, arrogant and self conceited people will not enter Paradise.
