English translation

4820. It was narrated from 'Abdur-Raḥmān bin Abī 'Amrah Al-Anṣārī, from Abū Sa'eed Al-Khudrī, who said: "I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say: 'The best of gatherings are those which are most spacious.'" (Sahih) Abū Dāwūd said: He is 'Abdur-Raḥmān bin 'Amr bin Abī 'Amrah Al-Anṣārī.

4820 - حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الْمَوَالِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «خَيْرُ الْمَجَالِسِ أَوْسَعُهَا» قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ: «هُوَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ»

If there are many people in a gathering, the arrangement of space should be made according to the number of the people, so that the people could sit easily.
