English translation

4830. It was narrated from Shu'bah, from Qatadah, from Anas, from Abū Mūsā, from the Prophet ﷺ with this first statement (as in 4829), up to his saying: “...its taste is bitter”. Ibn Mu'adh (one of the narrators) added: He said: Anas said: “We used to say that the likeness of a righteous companion was...” and he quoted the rest of the Hadīth. (Sahīh)

4830 - حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، ح وحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مُعَاذٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِهَذَا الْكَلَامِ الْأَوَّلِ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ «وَطَعْمُهَا مُرٌّ» وَزَادَ ابْنُ مُعَاذٍ قَالَ: قَالَ أَنَسٌ وَكُنَّا نَتَحَدَّثُ أَنَّ مَثَلَ جَلِيسِ الصَّالِحِ، وَسَاقَ بَقِيَّةَ الْحَدِيثِ
