English translation

4895. It was narrated that ‘Iyāḏ bin Ḥimār said: “The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: ‘Allāh has revealed to me, that you must be humble towards one another, so that no one wrongs anyone else or boasts to anyone else.’” (Sahih)

Arabic text

4895 - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ حِمَارٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ أَوْحَى إِلَيَّ أَنْ تَوَاضَعُوا حَتَّى لَا يَبْغِيَ أَحَدٌ عَلَى أَحَدٍ، وَلَا يَفْخَرَ أَحَدٌ عَلَى أَحَدٍ»
