English translation

4940. It was narrated from Abū Hurairah that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ saw a man chasing a pigeon and he said: “A devil chasing a she-devil.” (Hasan)

Arabic text

4940 - حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: رَأَى رَجُلًا يَتْبَعُ حَمَامَةً فَقَالَ: «شَيْطَانٌ يَتْبَعُ شَيْطَانَةً»
