English translation

5023. Abū Hurairah said: "I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say: 'Whoever sees me in a dream, he will see me when he is awake' or 'it is as if he has seen me when he is awake, for the Shaitān cannot appear in my form.'" (Ṣaḥīḥ)

Arabic text

5023 - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «مَنْ رَآنِي فِي الْمَنَامِ، فَسَيَرَانِي فِي الْيَقَظَةِ، أَوْ لَكَأَنَّمَا رَآنِي فِي الْيَقَظَةِ، وَلَا يَتَمَثَّلُ الشَّيْطَانُ بِي»
