English translation

5220. It was narrated from Ash-Sha’bi that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ met Ja’far bin Abi Tālib, and he embraced him, and kissed him between the eyes. (Da’if)

Arabic text

5220 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنْ أَجْلَحَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «تَلَقَّى جَعْفَرَ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فَالْتَزَمَهُ، وَقَبَّلَ مَا بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ»
