525. Sa’d bin Abī Waqqāṣ reported that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Whoever says upon hearing the Mu‘adh-dhin: Wa anā ashhadu an lā ilāha illallāhu Waḥdahu lā sharīka Lahu, wa anna Muḥammadan ‘abduhu wa Rasūluhu, raḏītu billāhi rabban wa bi-Muḥammadin Rasūlan wa bil-Islāmi dīna (And I too testify that none has the right to be worshiped but Allāh, He is One, having no partners, and that Muḥammad is His servant and Messenger; I am content (and pleased) with Allāh as (my) Lord, and with Muḥammad as (His) Messenger, and with Islam as (my religion) — then will be forgiven.” (Ṣaḥīḥ)
