Text and translation

English translation

689. It was reported from Abū 'Amr bin Muḥammad bin Huraith, that he heard his grandfather Huraith narrating from Abū Hurairah that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "When one of you prays, let him place something in front of him. If he does not find anything, let him take a stick and make it stand (in front of him). If he does not even have a stick, let him draw a line, then anything that passes in front of him will not affect him." (Da'if)
