757. Jarīr Aḍ-Ḍabbi narrated: “I saw ‘Ali, may Allāh be pleased with him, praying while grasping his left hand with his right hand, over the wrist-joint, above the navel.” (Ḥasan) Abū Dāwūd said: “Above the navel” has been related from Saʿeed bin Jubair. And Abū Mījlaz said under the navel. And it has been related from Abū Hurairah but it is not a strong narration.
757 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَعْيَنَ، عَنْ أَبِي بَدْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي طَالُوتَ عَبْدِ السَّلَامِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جَرِيرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يُمْسِكُ شِمَالَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ عَلَى الرُّسْغِ فَوْقَ السُّرَّةِ»، قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ: وَرُوِيَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، فَوْقَ السُّرَّةِ قَالَ أَبُو مِجْلَزٍ: تَحْتَ السُّرَّةِ وَرُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَلَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيِّ
