Text and translation

English translation

794. It was reported from Al-A'rāj, from Abū Hurairah, that the Prophet ﷺ said: "When one of you leads others in prayer, then let him shorten it, for there are (behind him) weak, sick, and old people. And if he prays by himself, then let him lengthen as (long) as he pleases." (Ṣaḥīḥ) •
