English translation

901. Abū Hurairah narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "When one of you prostrates, let him not spread his hands like a dog does, and let him join his thighs together." (Hasan)

Arabic text

901 - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ اللَّيْثِ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ دَرَّاجٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ حُجَيْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِذَا سَجَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ، فَلَا يَفْتَرِشْ يَدَيْهِ افْتِرَاشَ الْكَلْبِ، وَلْيَضُمَّ فَخْذَيْهِ»
