English translation

945. Abū Dharr narrated from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: "When one of you stands in prayer, then mercy (descends upon and) comes towards him, so let him not wipe pebbles." (Hasan)

Arabic text

945 - حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، شَيْخٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا ذَرٍّ، يَرْوِيهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ، فَإِنَّ الرَّحْمَةَ تُوَاجِهُهُ، فَلَا يَمْسَحِ الْحَصَى»
