Text and translation

English translation

954. It was reported from Abū Saḥrah bin 'Abdur-Raḥmān, from 'Āishah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ that the Prophet ﷺ would pray while he was sitting down, and he would recite while he was sitting down as well. When there would be thirty or forty Verses remaining, he would stand up and recite them while he was standing, then he would go into Rukū', then prostrate. And he would do the same in the second Rak'ah as well. (Ṣaḥīḥ) Abū Dāwūd said: 'Alqamah bin Waqqāṣ reported similarly from 'Aishah, from the Prophet ﷺ.
