988. It was reported from 'Affān: "Abdul-Wāḥid bin Ziyād narrated to us (he said): "Uthmān bin Ḥakīm narrated to us, (he said): " 'Āmir bin 'Abdullāh bin Az-Zubair narrated to us from his father, that he said: 'When the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ sat during the prayer, he would place his left foot under his right thigh and shin, and he would lay out his right foot (on the ground). And he would place his left hand on his left knee, and his right hand on the right knee. And he would point with his forefinger.” (‘Affān said) “And I saw ‘Abdul-Wāhid, and he pointed with the forefinger.” (Ṣaḥīh)
