Text and translation

English translation

1090. Narrated 'Aīshah رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا: "When the Šalāt (prayer) were first enjoined they were two Rak'āt each. Later the Šala (prayer) in a journey was kept as it was but the Šalāt (prayers) for non-travellers were made full (completed)." Az-Zuhri said, "I asked 'Urwa what made 'Aīshah رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا offer the full Šalāt (in journey)." He replied, "She did the same as 'Uthmān did."
