English translation

1634. Narrated Ibn 'Umar رضي الله عنهما: Al-'Abbās bin 'Abdul-Muṭṭalib رضي الله عنه asked the permission of Allāh's Messenger ﷺ to let him stay in Makkah during the nights of Minā (i.e., when one is required to stay in Minā) in order to provide the pilgrims with water to drink, so the Prophet ﷺ permitted him.
