2073. Narrated Abū Hurairah رضي الله عنه : Allāh's Messenger ﷺ said, "The Prophet Dāwūd (David) used not to eat except from the earnings of his manual labour."

2073 - حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَنَّ دَاوُدَ النَّبِيَّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ، كَانَ لاَ يَأْكُلُ إِلَّا مِنْ عَمَلِ يَدِهِ»
