English translation

2194. Narrated ‘Abdullāh bin ‘Umar رضي الله عنهم: Allāh’s Messenger ﷺ forbade the sale of fruits till their benefit is evident. He forbade both the seller and the buyer (of such a sale).

Arabic text

2194 - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا: «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا، نَهَى البَائِعَ وَالمُبْتَاعَ»
