English translation

2195. Narrated Anas رضي الله عنه: Allāh’s Messenger ﷺ forbade the sale of date-fruits till they were ripe. Abū ‘Abdullāh (Al-Bukhārī) said, “That means till they were red (can be eaten).” (1) (Ch. 2193) Pleiades is the collection of stars which start to appear at dawn in the early summer when it gets very hot in Hījāz at the early season of the ripening of fruits. The appearance of these stars is a sign of the ripening of dates.
