English translation
2577. Narrated Anas bin Mālik رضي الله عنه: Some meat was brought to the Prophet ﷺ and it was said that the meat had been given in charity to Barīra. He said, "It was Sadaqa (charity) for Barīra but a gift for us."

2577 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِلَحْمٍ، فَقِيلَ: تُصُدِّقَ عَلَى بَرِيرَةَ، قَالَ: «هُوَ لَهَا صَدَقَةٌ وَلَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ»
