3945. Narrated Ibn ‘Abbās رضى الله عنهم: They, the people of the Scriptures, divided the Qur’ān into parts, believing in some portions of it and disbelieving the others. (See V. 15:91- the Qur’ān) [See Faṭḥ Al-Bār, Al-Kushmaihani] [See Vol. 6, Hadīth No. 4705, 4706]
3945 - حَدَّثَنِي زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: " هُمْ أَهْلُ الكِتَابِ جَزَّءُوهُ أَجْزَاءً فَآمَنُوا بِبَعْضِهِ، وَكَفَرُوا بِبَعْضِهِ، يَعْنِي قَوْلَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {الَّذِينَ جَعَلُوا القُرْآنَ عِضِينَ} [الحجر: 91]
