The story of Bani An-Naḏīr. And the going of Allāh's Messenger ﷺ to them asking their help in collecting the blood-money of the two men.(1) And how Bani An-Naḏīr betrayed Allāh's Messenger ﷺ by breaking the covenant with him.

English translation

4035. Narrated 'Aishah رضي الله عنها: Fāṭima عليها السلام and Al-'Abbās came to Abū Bakr رضي الله عنه claiming their inheritance of the Prophet's land of Fadak and his share from Khaibar.

Arabic text

4035 - حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ عَلَيْهَا السَّلاَمُ، وَالعَبَّاسَ، أَتَيَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ يَلْتَمِسَانِ مِيرَاثَهُمَا، أَرْضَهُ مِنْ فَدَكٍ، وَسَهْمَهُ مِنْ خَيْبَرَ، فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «لاَ نُورَثُ مَا تَرَكْنَا صَدَقَةٌ، إِنَّمَا يَأْكُلُ آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ فِي هَذَا المَالِ» وَاللَّهِ لَقَرَابَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ أَنْ أَصِلَ مِنْ قَرَابَتِي
