4166. Narrated 'Abdullāh bin Abī Aūfa who was one of those who had given the Bai'a (pledge) to the Prophet ﷺ beneath the tree: When the people brought Sadaqa (i.e., charity etc.) to the Prophet ﷺ he used to say, "O Allāh! Bless them with your Mercy." Once, my father came with his Sadaqa to him whereupon he (i.e., the Prophet ﷺ) said, "O Allāh! Bless the family of Abū Aufa."
4166 - حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى، وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الشَّجَرَةِ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَتَاهُ قَوْمٌ بِصَدَقَةٍ قَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ». فَأَتَاهُ أَبِي بِصَدَقَتِهِ، فَقَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى آلِ أَبِي أَوْفَى»
