4423. Narrated Anas bin Mālik رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ:Allāh's Messenger ﷺ returned from theGhazwa of Tabūk, and when heapproached Al-Madīna, he said, "Thereare some people in Al-Madīna who werewith you all the time, you did not travel anyportion of the journey nor crossed anyvalley, but they were with you." They (i.e.,the people) said, "O Allāh's Messenger!Even though they were at Al-Madīna?"He said, "Yes, because they were stopped by a genuine excuse."
4423 - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجَعَ مِنْ غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ فَدَنَا مِنَ المَدِينَةِ، فَقَالَ: «إِنَّ بِالْمَدِينَةِ أَقْوَامًا، مَا سِرْتُمْ مَسِيرًا، وَلاَ قَطَعْتُمْ وَادِيًا إِلَّا كَانُوا مَعَكُمْ»، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، وَهُمْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ؟ قَالَ: «وَهُمْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ، حَبَسَهُمُ العُذْرُ»
