English translation
4588. Narrated Ibn Abi Mulaika: Ibn 'Abbās رضي الله عنهما recited: "Except the weak ones among men, women and children..." (V.4:98) and said, "My mother and I were among those whom Allāh had excused."

4588 - حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، تَلاَ {إِلَّا المُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالوِلْدَانِ} [النساء: 98]، قَالَ: « كُنْتُ أَنَا وَأُمِّي مِمَّنْ عَذَرَ اللَّهُ» وَيُذْكَرُ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ {حَصِرَتْ} [النساء: 90]: ضَاقَتْ، {تَلْوُوا} [النساء: 135]: أَلْسِنَتَكُمْ بِالشَّهَادَةِ وَقَالَ غَيْرُهُ: " المُرَاغَمُ: المُهَاجَرُ، رَاغَمْتُ: هَاجَرْتُ قَوْمِي. {مَوْقُوتًا} [النساء: 103]: مُوَقَّتًا وَقْتَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ "
