4595. Narrated Ibn ‘Abbās رضي الله عنهما: Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and did not join the battle of Badr and those who joined the battle of Badr.

“Not equal are those of the believers who sit (at home)...” (V.4:95)

4595 - حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ، أَنَّ ابْنَ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَهُمْ، ح وَحَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الكَرِيمِ، أَنَّ مِقْسَمًا، مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الحَارِثِ أَخْبَرَهُ: أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَخْبَرَهُ: {لاَ يَسْتَوِي القَاعِدُونَ مِنَ المُؤْمِنِينَ} [النساء: 95]: «عَنْ بَدْرٍ، وَالخَارِجُونَ إِلَى بَدْرٍ»
