English translation

4940. Narrated Ibn 'Abbās رضي الله عنهما (as regards the Verse) — "You shall certainly travel from stage to stage (in this life and in the Hereafter).": (It means) from one state to another. That concerns your Prophet ﷺ. (85) SŪRAT AL-BURŪJ(The Big Stars) In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious,the Most Merciful. (86) SŪRAT Aṭ-TĀRIQ(The Night-Comer) In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious,the Most Merciful. (87) SŪRAT AL-A'LĀ(The Most High) In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious,the Most Merciful.

4940 - حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ، أَخْبَرَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ إِيَاسٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: {لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَنْ طَبَقٍ} [الانشقاق: 19] «حَالًا بَعْدَ حَالٍ»، قَالَ: «هَذَا نَبِيُّكُمْ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ» سُورَةُ البُرُوجِ وَقَالَ مُجَاهِدٌ: {الأُخْدُودِ} [البروج: 4]: «شَقٌّ فِي الأَرْضِ»، {فَتَنُوا} [النحل: 110]: «عَذَّبُوا» سُورَةُ الطَّارِقِ وَقَالَ مُجَاهِدٌ: {ذَاتِ الرَّجْعِ} [الطارق: 11]: «سَحَابٌ يَرْجِعُ بِالْمَطَرِ»، {ذَاتِ الصَّدْعِ} [الطارق: 12]: «تَتَصَدَّعُ بِالنَّبَاتِ» سُورَةُ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى
