5172. Narrated Ṣafīyya bint Shaiba : The Prophet ﷺ gave a Walima (wedding banquet) with two Mudd of barley on marrying some of his wives. (1 Mudd = 3/4 of a kilogram).

Whoever gave a Walima (wedding banquet) of less than one sheep.

5172 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ صَفِيَّةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ، قَالَتْ: «أَوْلَمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى بَعْضِ نِسَائِهِ بِمُدَّيْنِ مِنْ شَعِيرٍ»
