English translation

5989. Narrated 'Aishah: رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ: The Prophet ﷺ said, "The word 'Ar-Rahm' (womb) derives its root from 'Ar-Rahmān' (i.e., one of the Names of Allāh). So, whosoever keeps good(1) relation with it (womb i.e., kith and kin), Allāh will keep good relation with him, and whosoever will sever it (i.e., severs his relations of kith and kin), Allāh, too, will sever His relation with him."
