English translation

6752. Narrated Ibn 'Umar رضي الله عنهما: The Prophet ﷺ said, "The Walā' is for the manumitter (of the slave)."

6752 - حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّمَا الوَلاَءُ لِمَنْ أَعْتَقَ»
