6797. Narrated 'Abdullãh (bin 'Umar ; L4!.. I): The Prophet cut off the hand of a thief for stealing a shield that was worth three Dirham.

Arabic text

6797 - حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: «قَطَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مِجَنٍّ ثَمَنُهُ ثَلاَثَةُ دَرَاهِمَ»
