6886. Narrated 'Aishah رضي الله عنها: We poured medicine into the mouth of the Prophet ﷺ during his ailment. He said, "Don't pour medicine into my mouth." (We thought he said that) out of the aversion a patient usually has for medicines. When he improved and felt better he said, "There is none of you but will be forced to drink medicine, except Al-'Abbās, for he did not witness your deed."
6886 - حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ بَحْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ: لَدَدْنَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَرَضِهِ، فَقَالَ: «لاَ تُلِدُّونِي» فَقُلْنَا: كَرَاهِيَةُ المَرِيضِ لِلدَّوَاءِ، فَلَمَّا أَفَاقَ قَالَ: «لاَ يَبْقَى أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ إِلَّا لُدَّ، غَيْرَ العَبَّاسِ، فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يَشْهَدْكُمْ»
