778. Narrated 'Abdullāh bin Abī Qatāda: My father said, "The Prophet ﷺ used to recite Sūrat Al-Fātiḥa along with another Sūrah in the first two Rak'ā of the Zuhr and ʾAṣr prayers. A Verse or so was audible at times and he used to prolong the first Rak'ā."
778 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ بِأُمِّ الكِتَابِ وَسُورَةٍ مَعَهَا فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الأُولَيَيْنِ مِنْ صَلاَةِ الظُّهْرِ وَصَلاَةِ العَصْرِ، وَيُسْمِعُنَا الآيَةَ أَحْيَانًا وَكَانَ يُطِيلُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الأُولَى» بَابُ يُطَوِّلُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الأُولَى
