1262. Narrated Umm 'Aṭīyya رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا: We entwined the head-hair of the dead daughter of the Prophet ﷺ into three braids. Waki' said that Sufyān said, “One braid was entwined in front and the other two were entwined on the sides of the head.”
1262 - حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ الهُذَيْلِ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ: «ضَفَرْنَا شَعَرَ بِنْتِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ» تَعْنِي ثَلاَثَةَ قُرُونٍ، وَقَالَ وَكِيعٌ: قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: نَاصِيَتَهَا وَقَرْنَيْهَا
