English translation

1558. Narrated Anas bin Mālik رضي الله عنه : 'Alī رضي الله عنه came to the Prophet ﷺ from Yemen (to Makkah). The Prophet ﷺ asked 'Alī, "With what intention have you assumed Ihram?" 'Alī replied, "I have assumed Ihram with the same intention as that of the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ said, "If I had not the Hady with me I would have finished the Ihram." Muḥammad bin Bakr added that Ibn Juraij said: The Prophet ﷺ said to 'Alī, "With what intention have you assumed the Ihram, O 'Alī?" He replied, "With the same (intention) as that of the Prophet ﷺ." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Have a Hady and keep your Ihram as it is."
