English translation

1571. Narrated 'Imrān رضي الله عنه: We performed Hajj-at-Tamattu' in the lifetime of Allāh's Messenger ﷺ and then the Qur'ān was revealed (regarding Hajj-at-Tamattu') and somebody said what he wished (regarding Hajj-at-Tamattu') according to his own opinion(1).

1571 - حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُطَرِّفٌ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: «تَمَتَّعْنَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَنَزَلَ القُرْآنُ»، قَالَ رَجُلٌ بِرَأْيِهِ مَا شَاءَ
