English translation
2126. Narrated ‘Abdullāh bin ‘Umar رضي الله عنهما: Allāh’s Messenger ﷺ said, “He who buys foodstuff should not sell it till he takes all the measure which he has bought in full.”

Weighing or measuring goods is to be done by the seller or the giver.

2126 - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «مَنِ ابْتَاعَ طَعَامًا، فَلاَ يَبِعْهُ حَتَّى يَسْتَوْفِيَهُ»
