English translation

2211. Narrated 'Aishah رضي الله عنها: Hind, the mother of Mu'āwiya said to Allāh's Messenger ﷺ, "Abū Sufyān (her husband) is a miser. Am I allowed to take from his money secretly?" The Prophet ﷺ said to her, "You and your sons may take what is sufficient, just and reasonable." (1) (Ch. 95) Al-Ḥasan did not ask about the hire the second time depending on what they had agreed upon the first time. He sent 'Abdullāh more than what was due out of generosity.
