English translation

2535. Narrated Ibn 'Umar رضي الله عنهما: Allāh's Messenger ﷺ forbade the selling or conferring on others of the Walā' of a manumitted slave.

Arabic text

2535 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، يَقُولُ: «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الوَلاَءِ، وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ»
