2815. Narrated Jābir bin 'Abdullāh رضي الله عنه: "Some people drank alcoholic drinks(1) in the morning of the day (of the battle) of Uḥud and were martyred (on the same day)." Sufyān was asked, "(Were they martyred) in the last part of the day?" He replied, "Such information does not occur in the narration."
2815 - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، يَقُولُ: «اصْطَبَحَ نَاسٌ الخَمْرَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، ثُمَّ قُتِلُوا شُهَدَاءَ»، فَقِيلَ لِسُفْيَانَ: مِنْ آخِرِ ذَلِكَ اليَوْمِ؟ قَالَ: لَيْسَ هَذَا فِيهِ
