2828. Narrated Anas bin Mālik رضي الله عنه: In the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ Abū Ṭalḥa did not observe Ṣaum (fast) because of the Jihād, but after the Prophet ﷺ died I never saw him without observing Ṣaum except on 'Eid-ul-Fiṭr and 'Eid-ul-Adhā.
2828 - حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ البُنَانِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: «كَانَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ لاَ يَصُومُ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ أَجْلِ الغَزْوِ، فَلَمَّا قُبِضَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ أَرَهُ مُفْطِرًا إِلَّا يَوْمَ فِطْرٍ أَوْ أَضْحَى»
